Jess (4 Heart/ICU) was a remarkable nurse. Because of her, our mom received top-notch care for the three days she was there. The ICU can be a scary and confusing place for patients and families, but the minute Jess walked into the room, we all could breathe a little easier. Jess kept us calm and eased our worries every step of the way. She was friendly, positive, and energetic, and we always felt well-informed.

Jess stayed on top of everything—often one step ahead—and because of that, we were confident our mom was safest in her care. We especially knew Jess was an exceptional nurse because of the way she celebrated a major turning point in our mom’s recovery. The look of joy on Jess’s face and the excitement she showed brought us to tears. We know our mom is on a strong road to recovery because of the excellent care she received at Butterworth—but especially because of Jess.
