On behalf of my father, I enthusiastically want to recognize Nurse Jeanne from AdventHealth Celebration. Jeanne truly went above and beyond during my father’s stay. Her exceptional clinical observation, empathy, and swift action made all the difference in his care.
 
For example, she noticed that my father was struggling to swallow his pills and immediately informed the doctor to request a swallow study. On another day, I arrived to find she had already intervened to help my father. When she arrived on the morning of her second shift with my father, she sensed he wasn’t doing as well. Recognizing this subtle change, she took swift action and contacted the doctor right away to request a “banana bag” to boost his hydration and nutrition. Jeanne did this before I arrived and had planned to request the very same thing, only to find she had already anticipated it. This kind of initiative and quick thinking made a tangible difference for my father, perking him up and giving him a better chance for recovery.
 
Beyond these specific interventions, Jeanne consistently showed empathy and genuine care in every interaction with me and my father. She took the time to ask how he was feeling and truly listened to his concerns. If he showed the slightest discomfort or change in mood, she addressed it immediately.
 
These actions gave me and my father tremendous confidence and peace of mind. Jeanne’s compassion and attentive care built a deep trust with us and made us feel like we were in safe hands. She truly embodies AdventHealth’s CREATION philosophy – especially Trust, Interpersonal Relationships, and Nutrition – by caring for my father’s whole health and well-being. We are profoundly grateful to Nurse Jeanne for treating my father like her own family, and we wholeheartedly believe she is deserving of this DAISY Award.
