Linda is a real gem who is always willing to go far above and beyond for her patients.
Where do I even start? Which story do I tell?
Linda Mueller has been a bright light in my family’s life for 20 years so far. It is because of Linda’s care, compassion, and sharp skills that my husband, who has hemophilia, a rare bleeding disorder that requires specialized care, feels confident receiving any medical or dental care. She is an expert at coordinating care and an expert in her field.
Linda’s office door is always open, and she has always been just a phone call away. She has answered countless emergency calls from us over the years; she’s done home care to provide my husband‘s postoperative infusions numerous times, and she’s always been a source of encouragement for my husband and our family!
My favorite story or memory with Linda is a recent one when my husband was having a heart ablation at Henry Ford Detroit. This procedure is a bit more complicated because of his hemophilia. My husband was so very nervous to have this procedure done, and the one thing that he kept saying leading up to it was, “ Linda said she would come across buildings to give me my factor before my procedure. “
Now Linda could have just helped order his factor and any RN could have administered it before he went back to the lab/OR, but sure enough, when I came around the corner in the pre-op area to say my goodbyes before he headed back, there was Linda seated next to him, having just finished giving him his factor infusion. My husband was laughing and was at his most at ease that anyone could be, given the situation. Linda looked up and greeted me with her infectious smile and a huge hug, which calmed my nervous heart, too.
A few hours later, I received a text from Linda asking how my husband was doing.
Linda is a real gem who is always willing to go far above and beyond for her patients.
She is a real leader, an example to us all of how to care for one another with true compassion. We are so blessed to have her as part of my husband’s care team and are and will forever be so grateful for her dedication to the field of hemophilia and to her patients.
