As a leader, how has Mary Beth has been instrumental in implementing our Mission within her team, her department, her ministry, and the community?
Mary Beth is a strong advocate for all APP's in the SSM network. She is great a leading our meetings and makes everyone feel welcome and encourages questions/comments from all involved.

How is this she accountable to her own competency and use of research and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes?
I have come to learn Mary Beth will do what is needed to learn about a topic in healthcare she may not be well versed in, billing and coding for example.

As an advocate, how has she supported her team through mentoring, teaching, and coaching?
Yes, she advocates for us APP's and out continuing education to provide a high level of care for our patients. For example, she encouraged me to take a weekly CME class through Thrive AP which has helped me improved my knowledge on many medical issues.

Since Mary Beth has come to SLU as the APP lead, our footprint as APP's in the network has only grown. We now have a leader who understands what we do and will advocate for us. She holds us accountable to provide high quality care at SSM.

I knew Mary Beth before she became the APP lead here at SLU. She is easy to communicate with and a great human being. She is also a very knowledgeable, hard working nurse practitioner that SSM should be proud to employ as she represents our organization at the highest level. She deserves this Award. Not just for her efforts to advocate for us APP's to provide high quality care here at SSM but because she always wants us to be recognized for what we accomplish.
