My 90-year-old mother was admitted to Naples NCH North a month or so ago. Eileen Pray was her nurse. I cannot begin to tell you what an awesome person and professional she is. She made my mother feel safe and cared for from the very first day she was brought to her room. Eileen treated her with kindness and respect and explained the care my mother would receive while she was in her care.

Eileen's demeanor was very important to my mother, as she had been mistreated in the past. Eileen instantly made her feel at ease. Eileen happened to come into Mom's room to speak to her while we were on the phone. She got on the phone with me and told me what my mom was going to be treated for and what type of tests she would have. She was very patient and thorough and told me to call her anytime if I had questions. She was so kind! The next day I came to visit mom, and Eileen was at the hospital entrance. She remembered me and stopped what she was doing to let me know how Mom was doing. Her cheery and caring disposition put me at ease, and I knew Mom was in good care in her hands. She took time out to bring us peace of mind, made us laugh, and spent time with us. We knew she genuinely cared about her patients.

Eileen is a perfect example of a healthcare professional who really cares for her patients and is a great comfort to the patient and family.
