Darcy will take on clients and attend events, meetings, and other commitments, even when she is already stretched thin with her work and personal time.
Darcy is a United States Veteran and has been a nurse for many years. She joined our Women's Health team several years ago as a clinical consultant. She has worked tirelessly through the years and advanced to her current position as a Clinical Consultant Senior Manager. Darcy stepped in at a time when our Women's Health Clinical Consultant team was losing staff due to illness, transitioning to other solutions, or choosing to work outside of Cerner. Darcy's number one goal was how to retain the staff she had lost and make sure all of us had what we needed to perform at the highest level.

Darcy has an open-door policy and the trust of our entire team. Her problem-solving skills are a welcome change. She thinks outside the box and provides multiple options for a problem or concern. She encourages input from her team and constantly wants to know what our thoughts are. She is such a role model for our new clinical consultants and makes them feel welcome from day one. She doesn't mind letting the entire team spread our wings but still encourages us every step of the way.

Darcy will take on clients and attend events, meetings, and other commitments, even when she is already stretched thin with her work and personal time. Even though she will support our team in any way she can, she also knows how to say no respectfully! The ability to say no is a must for a great leader like Darcy. The inability to say no isn't healthy for a team, but the ability to say no shows she has done her job and has a great team that can get the job done. When I reach out to her, I feel better within minutes just listening to her rationale and logical ideas.

She is one of the most compassionate leaders I've had the opportunity to work with in the past 40 years. We all know we live in a world of change on a daily level, and Darcy stays up to date on those changes, is extremely inclusive of each of her team members, and respects our values. She makes sure we are all heard and respects our different opinions. This is a true leader. Regardless of her personal thoughts, she still listens without prejudice because she believes it is the best way to build a healthy team.

I appreciate her diligence in ensuring her team is considered not only one of the most stable teams in Oracle Health but also one of the most cohesive, caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable teams. If we had more leaders like Darcy, our attrition rate would be lower, and other teams would also be known as the 'team to be on'! Thank you, Darcy, for all you have done and continue to do for our Women's Health Team.
