The patient stated that Sheryll advocated for them on multiple occasions. One specific situation revolved around the patient’s severe pain, where this nurse tried several strategies to relieve the pain.

The first strategy was a topical analgesic. When the pain continued, she called the physician, described the patient’s experience, and advocated for something stronger to ease the pain. She constantly checked in on the patient and made sure that they were alright even after the pain subsided.

The patient stated, “Knowing that I had excellent care and a nurse that exhibited so much compassion to make sure I was comfortable and not in agonizing pain, I will always remember this act of such kindness and humanity to go above and beyond nursing care to ensure my overall comfort in this difficult period of my life.”

Sheryll's colleague stated that she always makes sure that the job gets done and works together as a team. She treats their patients and coworkers with the utmost respect and makes sure that the patients are cared for and treated with dignity.

Sheryll is always kind, thoughtful, and considerate of others. She does a wonderful job of taking the lead in doing their job as well as making fair assignments. It is always a pleasure to work with this nurse.
