After we had been in the hospital for 2 days with an initial diagnosis of the common rhinovirus, Jenna was our night nurse. After examining him, she found his lethargy and unresponsiveness very concerning. Many other people had seen him in this state and were not concerned. She told me she wanted the doctor to examine him and that we really needed to push to get some answers. As a result of her insistence, we found out that he had meningitis and they were able to start antibiotics right away. If she hadn't been concerned or voiced it insistently, our son could have had much more serious damage, even died, from this very serious illness.
