I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and scheduled for a double mastectomy. I work at this facility and know Megan well.

She learned of my surgery date and made sure to put herself on the schedule for that day, knowing her presence would be a comfort to me. She came by before my surgery to check on me and was diligent throughout the day and my recovery to make sure my husband and I were ok. She is one of the most selfless women I've ever known, with the kindest heart.

She makes sure her coworkers and patients are always taken care of. She frequently decorates the unit to make sure joy is brought to others. She goes above and beyond every day she comes to work, full of compassion for others. I will forever be grateful she was there that day, and she has checked on me frequently since I was discharged.
