Ashlee Merriam, RN, of the Sublette County Health was recently honored with The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses. The Award is part of the DAISY Foundation's programs to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. Merriam currently serves as the Assistant Director of Nursing at the Heritage Home. She has been part of the Sublette County healthcare community for more than 15 years, beginning her career as a CNA at the former Sublette Center before becoming a registered nurse and nursing leader. During the award presentation, 2024 DAISY recipient described Merriam as “one of the most caring and compassionate nurses I have ever had the privilege of working with.” They noted that Merriam is a steadfast advocate for both residents and staff, and that her leadership is grounded in compassion, integrity, and a genuine commitment to those she serves. A coworker nomination described Merriam as “the heart of Heritage Home and truly the example all of us should replicate in ourselves.”
