I would like to nominate Nurse Farlie at the LaPorte Franciscan Emergency Room for a DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care she provided to my mother. From the moment we arrived, Nurse Farlie treated my mother with a level of compassion and dignity that made her feel as though she were caring for a member of her own family.

During a very difficult and vulnerable time, Nurse Farlie went above and beyond to comfort my mother, offering not only excellent clinical care but also genuine kindness, patience, and reassurance. She took the time to listen, to explain, and to ensure my mother felt safe and supported every step of the way. Her presence brought a sense of calm to a situation that could have otherwise been overwhelming. As the Fire Marshal of New Carlisle, I have personally transported many patients to medical facilities throughout the area and have had the opportunity to observe countless healthcare professionals in action.

I can say without hesitation that the level of care Nurse Farlie provided was truly exceptional and stands out as some of the best I have ever witnessed. Her professionalism, empathy, and dedication to her patients embody everything the nursing profession strives to be. Nurse Farlie is a remarkable caregiver, and I am deeply grateful for the impact she had on my mother's experience. She is more than deserving of this recognition.
