I had the pleasure of knowing Mr Osmar Ramirez when I started hemodialysis a few months ago. He served as my primary preceptor, a mentor, and a wonderful colleague in HD. He had been an HD nurse for more than 6 years now. I had known and seen how he works for just a short period of time, maybe 2 or 3 months, but as for me, who had been in the nursing profession for more than 10 years. I can say he is very dedicated, hardworking, and devoted to his chosen specialization. I always heard comments from other preceptees, and I quote, " Osmar is very informative ". His teaching style and funny personality during clinical hours are very exceptional for me. I would have quit in the 2nd or 3rd week of my clinical if not because of him.  We always started our clinical day with a smile and gratitude and ended the day the same way. Osmar is so knowledgeable in HD and other modalities, but is always open to new learning.  What truly amazed me about him is that he is very respectful and God-fearing. He always said, and I quote, " God is good and every day is a blessing. " That message really hit me and almost wiped away all my worries and doubts in my hemodialysis journey as a starter. His dedication and hard work deserve rightful recognition.
