She is always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it's assisting patients to the bathroom, bathing them, or simply picking up clutter to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. As a leader, Mary Jo sets an exemplary standard for her colleagues. Her hands-on approach and willingness to work early and stay late inspire others to follow her lead. I have had the privilege of working with Mary Jo, and I can attest to her exceptional qualities.

When I was feeling overwhelmed and considering leaving the unit, Mary Jo's kindness, understanding, and support made a significant impact on my decision to stay a little longer. Her compassion and empathy are a testament to her character and commitment to our patients and colleagues. Moreover, Mary Jo was there for me during a particularly challenging moment in my career, my first experience with a patient's passing. She provided emotional support, guidance, and reassurance, helping me navigate a difficult situation with care and compassion. Her presence and mentorship during that moment were invaluable, and I will always be grateful for her support.

As I reflect on Mary Jo's care and dedication, I am reminded of the healing ministry of Christ.
