I would like to take a moment to recognize our charge nurse, Stephanie B.

Recently, I was involved in a cardiac arrest case that occurred without an overhead announcement. Stephanie immediately came to support the team and me, offering both leadership and hands-on expertise during a very high- stress situation. While the team worked hard to establish IV access, it was extremely difficult. Stephanie calmly stepped in and was able to start a line in the patient's finger. An act that ultimately saved my patient's life.

Because of her quick thinking and skill, we were able to achieve ROSC. What stood out just as much as her clinical ability was her humility. When I thanked her, she brushed it off and said it was nothing. But I know it was everything to that patient and their family. Stephanie consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership, Clinical excellence, and genuine compassion for both her patients and colleagues.

I am grateful for her support, and I believe her actions truly embody the spirit of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
