Professor Cheeks made a difference in many students’ academic journeys. She makes the clinical setting feel comfortable for asking questions and acknowledging when something is not understood or when additional help is needed to learn a concept or skill. She is very patient and supportive of student learning and goes above and beyond to help students understand.

She is very caring when helping students learn and actively looks for different opportunities for us to experience at the clinical sites. She is a great listener and ensures students understand what is happening with each patient in a positive, inspiring way that encourages students to learn more. She not only cares about students' success but also holds students accountable for the knowledge and skills needed to be successful RNs by taking the time to help us learn. Congratulations, Yvette.
