From one nurse to another, she truly went above and beyond to make this birthing experience the best possible with the safest outcomes for myself and my son!
Blair was a ray of sunshine during a scary and uncertain time. She met me with kindness and confidence that put me at ease.
I had met her during a visit to L&D triage a few weeks prior to needing induction while I was still deciding between delivering at St. Mary's or MRMC, and the care she gave me then was the major reason that I felt comfortable delivering at MRMC.
I had some complications at the end of my pregnancy that we caught early but required induction to start. Seeing Blair come into my room to take over my care for the night shift while I was in the process of being induced immediately put my mind at ease, and I knew I was in excellent hands. She remembered me from the prior visit to triage when she cared for me that night.
She treated me with the utmost respect and dignity throughout the night, advocated for me, and ensured I was informed about my options, including when it was the right time to get the epidural.
When my son's tracing on the monitor was showing some concern, she intervened swiftly with confidence that put my mind at ease. She went above and beyond to ensure my husband and I were well taken care of and had all of our needs met.
I was so excited when she told me she would be back the following night and even requested that she be my nurse again. I was absolutely thrilled that she was my nurse when my precious son was born!
Even during some complications within the induction process, she handled everything with a smooth confidence but was also not afraid to lean on her fellow staff for assistance to ensure the best care for my son and me.
From one nurse to another, she truly went above and beyond to make this birthing experience the best possible with the safest outcomes for myself and my son!
Blair is simply amazing, and I couldn't be more grateful for her tender care! She is the most deserving of this high-level recognition!
