I am honored to nominate Jami for the DAISY Award. As a patient advocate at the VA, I see care from a unique perspective, and I can confidently say that the care I received from Jami was truly exceptional. Her care for me was wonderful. She was kind, patient, and thorough. She maintained professionalism while also bringing warmth into the room. I felt respected, informed, and genuinely cared for. But what truly needs recognition is what I heard from the nearby patients. She explained everything before she did it. Every med, every step, she took the time to make sure each patient understood. With children, she adjusted her language. With the elderly, she was gentle, respectful, and patient. Her kindness was consistent with every one of us. There isn’t enough room to write everything, but her work of compassion, patience, and communication deserves recognition. She doesn’t just complete tasks; she connects with people. She makes a difficult ER visit feel safe and human. She is an extraordinary nurse.
