We would like to commend Jacob Hetherton for the incredible care he gave our 5-month-old son, M, during his 4-night hospital stay with RSV. Having your baby in the hospital, struggling to breathe, is one of the most stressful and helpless feelings a parent can experience. From the very first night, Jacob made an overwhelming situation feel manageable. He was calm, attentive, compassionate, and truly exceptional with our son.

Jacob was amazing with M throughout our entire stay. He was gentle, patient, and always handled him with so much care and kindness. Even during difficult moments with oxygen support and overnight monitoring, Jacob made sure M was comfortable and that we, as parents, felt informed and supported.

What stood out most was how much Jacob genuinely cared. He never made us feel like just another room or another patient. He took the time to explain things, checked on us often, and made sure we knew M was in good hands. His presence during those long nights brought us peace of mind when we needed it most. One night, I woke up about to panic, worried about my son. As I look over, Jacob is patting his back and soothing our boy back to sleep. It was a blessing to have him!

As parents, we will never forget how much his compassion and professionalism meant to our family during such a stressful time. Jacob made a lasting impact on us, and we are so grateful that he was the one caring for our baby. He truly represents what nursing should be.
