I want to nominate Nicole McDonald for the DAISY Award in recognition of the extraordinary care she provided to my uncle during this time at Trinity Hospital. Nicole was truly exceptional in every sense of the word. From the moment she began caring for my uncle, she demonstrated a level of compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism that immediately brought comfort to both him and our family.

During an incredibly difficult and emotional time, she went above and beyond to ensure not only that his medical needs were met but that he was treated with dignity, respect, and genuine kindness. She took the time to comfort my uncle and his wife, especially at night, when things can feel most overwhelming. Her calming presence and reassuring words helped ease our fears and gave us a sense of peace.

Even as his condition worsened, Nicole remained steadfast in her care, always making sure he was comfortable, clean, and presentable. She handled his transition with such grace and compassion, which meant more to us than words can express.

Nicole's ability to blend Clinical Excellence with heartfelt empathy truly sets her apart. She didn't just care for a patient; she cared for a family. In one of the hardest moments of our lives, she was a source of strength, comfort, and light. Our family is beyond grateful for Nicole. She is the embodiment of what it means to be a nurse and is exactly why the DAISY Award exists. We will never forget the care she provided, and we are honored to recognize her as a true Angel and an exceptional nurse.
