Liam Nitzan is incredibly deserving of this recognition for the dedication and determination he consistently demonstrates as a nursing student. Throughout our program, Liam has worked extremely hard to earn the grades he has, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to learning. He has also been a great support to those around him, always willing to help classmates understand difficult topics in lectures. His willingness to support others while continuing to push himself academically reflects the compassion and teamwork that nursing requires. Liam’s determination and encouragement of his peers make him very deserving of this recognition.

I would like to nominate Liam for a DAISY Award in recognition of the extraordinary compassion and dedication he showed while caring for a patient in the burn ICU who had undergone the devastating amputation of all four limbs. During an unimaginably difficult time, Liam provided not only exceptional clinical care but also unwavering emotional support. He treated his patient with dignity, patience, and encouragement, helping him navigate both the physical and emotional challenges of such a life-altering event. Just as importantly, Liam extended his kindness and guidance to the patient’s wife, offering reassurance, answering questions, and ensuring she felt supported and included in her husband’s care. His empathy, professionalism, and heartfelt commitment truly embody the spirit of the DAISY Award and make a lasting difference in the lives of the patients and families he serves.
