My dad was fortunate enough to have Nurse Joe Niklaus for three days. It was instantly evident that Joe was a thorough and exceptional medical care provider, going out of his way to explain the care plan and to ensure my dad's needs were addressed. During the discharge process, Joe's abilities really stood out as he thoroughly explained the discharge plan and extensively went over the current list of medications. He even called me to explain things further as he could sense my confusion. The final act of Joe's fantastic care and example of kindness came when we had been waiting for transport to come. Joe knew my dad was eager to go home, so he took it upon himself to deliver my dad to my car.
