Sometimes during the hardest and loneliest moments in life, a person appears & quietly becomes the reason someone makes it just one more day. 35 days. 35 days in the same 4 walls that stood between me and the world that was moving too fast all around me, while I was made to just be still within. These were some of the longest, hardest, and most painful days and even longer nights. There were moments that almost felt unbearable & in those days it could’ve been so easy to lose hope. What made the difference was the care of someone so patient, loving, and humbly human. This nurse showed me compassion in a way that went far beyond just care. She gifted me reassurance, kindness, and, at times, simply a steady hand to hold when things felt overwhelming. In moments when giving up felt easier, she reminded me that strength was still there and had been there all along.

Mrs. Jodi Croy was that person for me. Her presence, encouragement, and genuine care carried me through one of the most difficult seasons of my life. Some people do their job well.
