Through passion, dedication, and sheer grit, she has become an invaluable resource for patients and clinical teams facing some of the most complex and challenging situations in healthcare.
Kristin began her career as an MSO nurse and transitioned to the role of wound care specialist through continued learning, determination, and an unwavering commitment to patient care.

Through passion, dedication, and sheer grit, she has become an invaluable resource for patients and clinical teams facing some of the most complex and challenging situations in healthcare. Complex wounds often arise from a confluence of medical and surgical conditions, including obesity, diabetes, vascular disease, and immunosuppression.

Patients under Kristin’s care represent some of the most difficult cases to manage successfully. Achieving positive outcomes requires multidisciplinary collaboration, a deep understanding of evolving best practices & technologies in wound care, psychological partnership with patients, and the physically demanding work of meticulous dressing changes. Kristin excels in all of these areas.

In my orthopedic practice, Kristin has been instrumental in helping maintain optimism while confronting daunting realities-joint replacement complications, massive skin loss, the need for major plastic surgery, and profound psychological challenges. At their most vulnerable moments, she not only provides expert wound care but also stabilizes and improves complex wound conditions while helping patients preserve hope and dignity.

For those reasons, and for the countless patients whose lives she has positively impacted. I wholeheartedly recommend Kristin as a most deserving recipient of the DAISY Award.
