Courtney helped us in so many ways. Showing such love to our mom and to us. It has a beautiful and lasting effect on each of us, and we are so thankful for her.
Courtney is a beautiful soul. Our mom was in the MICU due to her falling at home and having a fracture in her neck. This caused multiple strokes and a hematoma. Our mom was on a ventilator. We as a whole family made the most loving choice for our mom to let her go and be with God.

Courtney gave the best love, care, and compassion to our mom. She also gave that to us as a family. She would listen to my sister and I speak of our mom and memories that we made with her. She felt our hurt in knowing that our mom was not going to wake up, and she felt the love that we had for her. Courtney would show us compassion by standing next to us as we sat with her, holding her hand, and crying.

She showed love to us in so many ways. She stated, "I love the picture that you paint of her. I can tell that she meant a great deal to you and that you meant a great deal to her as well by the stories you tell." We played music for our mom from her favorite band,  Alabama. Our mom loved that group for so many years. We told Courtney that when I was a young child, my mom took me to my first concert. It was Alabama. And we told her that my sister took her to her last concert this summer. It was Alabama.

Courtney came to work the next day in this beautiful cardigan. It was blue with red hearts. She told us that she wore it for us, and the red in it was for our mom, because of Alabama. While my mom is in Heaven, and we all prayed for her to wake up and be with us here, God is intentional. God knew it was time for our mom to come home.

Courtney helped us in so many ways. Showing such love to our mom and to us. It has a beautiful and lasting effect on each of us, and we are so thankful for her. I want her to know how much her love, kindness, and dedication meant to us then and still means to us now.
