I am recognizing Nurse Crystal because of the incredible care and compassion she showed while caring for my dad after he had emergency reattachment surgery on his hand.

From the start, Crystal made a difficult situation easier for both my dad and our family. She was always proactive with his care—bringing his medications on time without him needing to ask and clearly writing the schedule on the whiteboard so he knew exactly when to expect his next dose. That small act of communication meant a lot to him, especially since pain management was critical in his recovery.

But beyond just doing her job well, she was consistently kind. She treated my dad with dignity, talked to him like a person, and made him feel like he wasn’t just another patient. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail stood in stark contrast to the night nurse, who unfortunately let his medication schedule fall behind, causing unnecessary pain and confusion.

Crystal’s consistency, kindness, and clear communication made a real difference in my dad’s recovery and our peace of mind. She truly represents the best of nursing and absolutely deserves this recognition.
