Keenan consistently shows up to work with an attitude to help all patients through their struggles. Even on my worst mental health days, Keenan did not judge but continued to do his job effectively. I have been in many medical settings and have dealt with good nurses, but I felt it was important that Keenan is recognized because he is more than just good; he is exceptional, but most importantly, I don’t think he does it for recognition because I see him treat all patients with the same kindness. He is a great representation of what nursing should look like, not only in this unit, but across the country.

A simple observation of Keenan in real time will support my words. He is warm, efficient, relatable, professional, a leader... the list could go on and on. Even though I was at my worst while in this unit, having Keenan consistently for days made my experience much better. I could go on and on... but I have been truly amazed at how Keenan doesn't break under the pressure of such a high-stress unit.

Keenan is always more than willing to help; he is always optimistic, even with unruly patients, and he definitely made my stay in BHU great. He checked in with me every time he was here. Great nurse, and hats off to Keenan for all the help.
