Emily is everything a nurse should be: compassionate, attentive, supportive, and deeply dedicated to her patients.
As a first-time mom, I went into my induction feeling anxious and overwhelmed. It wasn’t the birth experience I originally hoped for. But from the very beginning, Emily completely changed that for me. She took the time to carefully read through my birth plan and genuinely respected my wishes. Instead of brushing them aside, she supported me fully and made me feel like my voice mattered every step of the way. Something as small as bringing a diffuser into my room and letting me pick out the oil set the tone for how amazing she was going to be.
One of my biggest fears was getting the epidural. I was very nervous, but Emily stayed right by my side, holding me, encouraging me, and speaking to me with such warmth and calmness. She didn’t just act like a nurse; she felt like a friend I had known for years. Her presence brought me so much peace in a moment I had been dreading. After the epidural, I wanted to use the peanut ball to help progress labor, and Emily went above and beyond. She came into my room every 30 minutes to help me turn and reposition. I never once felt like a burden; she made me feel cared for, supported, and safe.
Going into this experience, I heard so many negative stories about labor and delivery, and I was worried about what mine would be like. Emily completely exceeded every expectation. She was truly an angel during one of the most important moments of my life. I wholeheartedly believe that the comfort and trust she created played a huge role in how smoothly and quickly my labor progressed. I am so incredibly grateful for her care, and I can only hope she is there for my next delivery. Emily is everything a nurse should be: compassionate, attentive, supportive, and deeply dedicated to her patients. She made my birth experience not just manageable, but beautiful and empowering.
