My wife gave birth to our first child on Sunday, and as exciting as that was, we were /are very nervous for the road ahead. As our first night came, Penny checked in and introduced herself. From the moment she greeted us, she was so very attentive and incredibly hospitable. She even learned some Spanish, "Mucho gusto," she said.
She regularly came to check in with us and made sure we had everything we needed to survive the night. Whether it was ointment for the baby or my wife, whether it was water or pain meds, she was ready to help and happy to do it.
On our second night, my wife’s pain from the C-section was very prominent, and the baby was incredibly fussy. She helped my wife as I did my best to console the baby. Once my wife was able to lie down after her pain meds, Penny swooped into action, calmed the baby, and the entire room really.
She has been tremendous and made us feel like we were the only parents on the Floor. We are incredibly grateful.

I wanted to write and thank you for the incredible care you provided after my delivery. Your patience seemed endless, and your consistent check-ins made us feel so protected. We truly were/are in the best hands possible, which allowed us to feel safe & sound during such a vulnerable time.
