My 71-year-old husband was recovering from sepsis and hydrocephalus. He was taken to the rehab. She even wanted to watch him get a PICC line put in. She stayed right with us during the whole procedure. My husband was a sick man, and Evaline always made me feel comfortable with his care and progress. She knew her stuff and explained everything to us. She made a point to not only remember our names, but would smile and call my name each time I walked into the hospital while she was working. I needed to be trained to administer my husband's IV antibiotic after he came home. Evaline patiently explained it so well and demonstrated each step. She offered to go over it all again, but I felt I had it, so I repeated it back to her and wrote the steps on my pad. Evaline asked to review them after I finished. She said I got it right and teased that I could now go to work for them. I had been stung by a wasp, and it was hurting and itching. I showed Evaline, and she recommended what I could do to help it.
