Asia was a wonderful nurse. I was admitted after having a major cardiac event, and I was so scared. It was the middle of the night. Asia held my hand, looked me in the face, and said, "I am going to take care of you." I know she meant that.

In a short period of time, I felt like I had known Asia for years. She was patient and never made me feel uncomfortable. She took her time in my room, even though I knew she was busy. When I moved to the ICU, it was the end of her shift. She didn’t hand me off to someone else. She called my spouse and explained everything to him. She gathered all my personal belongings and ensured everything made it to the ICU. She offered to call my children and explain what was happening and why.

My spouse and I both really connected with Asia. I knew when she was there that I was going to be okay. She was very knowledgeable and knew my history. I could tell she took the time to read my chart and get to know me as a person, not just a situation. I watched her explain to the PCT when and where to get an accurate blood pressure. She offered assistance without judgment. The world needs more nurses like Asia!
