Tiffany thinks outside of the box for creative solutions, not just bandages.
Tiffany has been my leader since I started as a staff nurse in L&D six years ago. When she transitioned to the manager role, she inherited a unit that was taking on water from all sides. Tiffany went all in on culture improvement. She celebrated people, identified "culture champions", and spent untold hours investing in our unit to turn it into the thriving community it is today. Our team loves the work they do, but they do it at Midtown largely because of the leadership team Tiffany captains.
Tiffany thinks outside of the box for creative solutions, not just bandages. Her tenure is littered with accomplishments that many people would look at and say, "they'll never say yes" or "that's too hard". Yet here comes Tiffany, with a plan, follow-through, and a passion for the project ahead.
She is steady and consistent in her commitment to justice and fairness. She has a defined grip on her values that is so helpful for her team. The unit knows her expectations and her boundaries, which allows the team to operate with confidence.
She is loyal. She speaks honestly and consistently. If there is an issue, she confronts it directly, but always with grace. She stands up for her team time and time again, and that kind of loyalty is inspiring. In the face of adversity, she starts with the basics: protect her team, follow the rules, and the decisions will flow from that. I have learned so much from her.
She values people. She honors fairness while prioritizing the person in front of her. She goes above and beyond for her team to ensure their individual needs are at least being heard, if not resolved.
She is creative. Her out of the box thinking has created outlets for people to express themselves, laugh, and play in a high stress environment.
As Theodore Roosevelt says, "The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena...who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause." Tiffany stays in the arena. She has felt the contentment of a big win for the unit and the exhaustion of a project that doesn't succeed or come to fruition. She shows up every day and continues to work, to keep striving, no matter what happened the day before. She is the best of the best because she leans into the hard work. She is a phenomenal leader. She deserves to be honored for the incredible work she has done, how she has set an example for the local and national ministry, and how deeply she loves the work she does and the people she serves. I am proud and honored to work under her leadership.
