From opening new bays and the annex to navigating daily operational challenges, she immediately earned the trust and respect of the team through her presence, transparency, and unwavering support.
Nomination #1:
Since stepping into her role as my director, Angie has diligently fostered an environment of trust and mutual respect, investing in both my team and me in an unprecedented way. Angie has consistently advocated to elevate the AR role and has encouraged collaborative projects that provide meaningful professional development opportunities. I have personally benefited from her compassion and mentorship; I truly would not be where I am today without her guidance. She encourages me to challenge the status quo while providing the necessary tools and support to succeed. For example, when I proposed the idea of a night council—a shared governance committee—she was thrilled to mentor my progress and has remained our strongest advocate. With Angie, I feel like I have a voice. She is a true leader of leaders, and I am incredibly grateful for her willingness to see me as a human being to guide, rather than just an employee to manage.

Nomination #2
Angie has brought renewed energy, direction, and encouragement to the Adult Emergency Department as our Director. She is passionate about not only our mission and our department, but also about empowering her staff to excel and become the very best that we can be. She is approachable, deliberate, kind, and resourceful. Angie supports us at every level and is quick to not only help us find a solution to a challenge that we face, but also to become part of that solution. Her positive attitude, encouragement, and genuine love for each one of us permeate the way she leads our team. It is a joy to be able to serve and lead with her guiding us!

Nomination #3
I am proud to nominate Angie House for the 2026 DAISY Nurse Leader Award. Although new to the ED Director role, Angie has truly hit the ground running and is absolutely excelling. From opening new bays and the annex to navigating daily operational challenges, she immediately earned the trust and respect of the team through her presence, transparency, and unwavering support. Angie is the definition of a compassionate and supportive leader. She rounds daily, connects directly with staff, and is consistently in the trenches with the team—brainstorming, problem-solving, and ensuring everyone feels heard. She fosters an environment built on trust, mutual respect, and growth, while encouraging critical thinking and professional development. What makes Angie especially impactful is her ability to lead with both heart and clarity. She takes the time to explain the “why,” helping the team understand not just what we’re doing, but how it connects to the bigger picture beyond the ED. That perspective builds alignment, purpose, and stronger engagement across the team. On a personal level, Angie has been an incredible mentor to me as a new leader. She is always available, supportive, and invested in my growth. She has a way of making my job easier without even trying, simply by being the kind of leader who leads with intention, kindness, and consistency. She is, quite simply, one of the most genuine and compassionate leaders I have ever met—and the team feels the same. Angie doesn’t just lead the ED; she uplifts it. She is incredibly deserving of this recognition.
