Trisha can be described as the “motherly” figure in both the clinical setting and the classroom. She spends time with her patients and makes them feel like part of her own family. There is a genuine concern for others.

Trisha has demonstrated resilience during her time in the program. She has not let personal struggles influence the care she gives to her patients or her attentiveness to her peers.
She is a strong patient advocate and identified an unsafe medication order that could have led to a sentinel event. Also, has the ability to remain calm during emergent/trauma situations.

I have learned that she has a great laugh and a good sense of humor. We probably have all heard that “laughter is good medicine”, as well as the cheerful heart.

Trisha, your genuine concern for others, cheerful heart, resilience in the face of adversity, and strong patient advocacy have not gone unnoticed. You also represent the kind of nurse our profession needs.
