Our 78-year-old mother was a patient at Ahuja for many days. Each day brought new challenges, and what started as a path toward returning home turned into Hospice care. Our mother passed away while at Ahuja. Throughout the daily ups and downs, Stella developed a friendly relationship with Mom. They shared their lives with each other as Stella took such excellent care of our mom.

On one memorable evening, Stella took loving care of mom, helping get her bathed as she sat on the bedside and massaged her head with a dry shampoo kit. We cannot imagine anything more sacred than Stella giving our mother her last bath. The night my mother passed, Stella was there. We embraced and shared tears. Stella shared with us, "Your mom changed my life.” We do not know what all Mom and Stella shared with each other, and we didn't ask. We didn't have the opportunity to share with Stella that she forever changed our lives, too.
