A few years ago, my father had his CABG operation at ManilaMed. Nurse JK was a new nurse, but despite that, he showed his skill and compassion so well that my Dad cannot forget him to this day.

Fast forward to the present day, and my father was admitted back due to sepsis and needed back-to-back operations. One of the nurses assigned to him is Nurse JK. My dad can vividly remember him being the one who brought the heart pillow 2 years ago when he was post-heart surgery. “Careful and good,” those are my dad's words.

He never gives up on IV insertion, especially the duty before handing it over to the anesthesiologist. Nurses with heart and compassion for patients are really exceptional; you can feel the way they will take care of your loved one.

Our father said he is comfortable when Nurse JK is on duty because he is not just well-skilled in what he does, he has a heart for the patient and the patient's family. He can understand our frustrations or situation, and allows us to voice out our concerns. It makes me feel better. Nurse JK deserves the commendation from our whole family.
