I will always remember her kindness, reassurance, and the way she helped me feel strong and capable during one of the biggest moments of my life.
I would like to recognize my labor and delivery nurse, Maryrose, because she made an unforgettable difference in my birth experience and in the way I felt as a first-time mom.

I went to the hospital on Sunday at 37 weeks pregnant due to high blood pressure and swelling. Maryrose was the first nurse assigned to evaluate me. Right away, she stood out for her kindness and the way she made me feel safe and cared for. I remember thinking, " Wow, all the nurses here are so kind," and Maryrose was a big reason for that first impression.

After I found out I was being induced, I was moved through different rooms and stages of the induction process with different nurses. Eventually, Maryrose took over as my labor and delivery nurse, and I immediately felt more at ease. Even though everyone was very nice, Maryrose had a special way of making me feel truly comfortable and supported. She was calm, patient, and reassuring, exactly what I needed as someone experiencing this for the first time.

Throughout labor, Maryrose helped calm my nerves and made me feel confident when I was scared or unsure. When I was in pain, she was motivating and encouraging in a way that genuinely helped me push through it. When it came time to start pushing, she was the one who initially guided me and explained what to do. She took the time to explain how pushing works with an epidural and what I should expect, which made such a huge difference because I didn’t know what was normal or what I was supposed to feel.

As I pushed, Maryrose continued to reassure me and coach me through each breath. She made me feel like I was doing a great job, and when I needed to push a little more, she encouraged me in such a supportive way. I truly believe I was able to deliver my first baby in just 13 minutes because of her coaching, motivation, and the confidence she gave me.

I had an extremely positive birth experience, and a big part of that was because of the care Maryrose provided. I will always remember her kindness, reassurance, and the way she helped me feel strong and capable during one of the biggest moments of my life.

Maryrose was my labor and delivery nurse. I was anxious and apprehensive about who would be my nurse and what my experience would be like during this intimate experience, as this was the birth of my first child. I cannot express enough how gifted, amazing, supportive, caring, strong, and knowledgeable Maryrose was. I am an RN myself, and I can tell you she went absolutely above and beyond in her care of me.

She supported me through the entire process, start to finish. One moment that sticks out to me the most was when I was receiving the epidural. She held both my hands on the edge of the bed and said, "Squeeze my hands as hard as you need to." She then coached me through breathing and positive affirmations.

My husband and I feel so lucky to have had her as my nurse. I would hope she would be with me for my next! I could not have asked for a better experience. I hope Maryrose knows how much this meant for me, and that she gets all the accolades possible!!

I would like to recognize the nurse who assisted in delivering my baby. She was incredibly patient and supportive during one of the most challenging moments of my life. I was exhausted and struggling because I didn’t know how to push effectively. She stayed calm and kept encouraging me. She tried different methods to help me figure out what worked best. We eventually used a tug-of-war technique, which made a huge difference and helped me push more effectively.

Throughout the entire process, she was kind, reassuring, and attentive. She made me feel supported and capable when I was doubting myself. I am so grateful for her care and dedication. She truly made a lasting impact on my birth experience.
