Alisha was one of the nurses who performed CPR and helped bring my grandson back.
My grandson was taken to the ER with severe respiratory distress caused by croup. His condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was eventually intubated and life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital. During the intubation process, he coded in the ER, and CPR was performed for seven minutes. Alisha was one of the nurses who performed CPR and helped bring my grandson back. Throughout this critical time, Alisha made sure we understood what was happening and why. She remained calm and composed in the midst of chaos, providing reassurance when we needed it most. I vividly remember looking at her as she told me they had regained a pulse. The expression on her face gave me an overwhelming sense of comfort that everything might be okay. I know Alisha did everything in her power to care for my grandson while also ensuring we were informed and supported. She was our voice of calm in the storm. There are no words that can truly express the depth of my gratitude to Alisha and the entire nursing staff who worked tirelessly to save my grandson that day.
The impact of Alisha's actions gave me comfort in a very traumatic time. I appreciate her kind and caring approach to a very difficult situation. I was able to stay focused on her, knowing she was doing everything in her power to save my grandson and that she would keep me informed. As I think back on that day and everything that happened, Alisha is in every thought.
