I was discharged while Elizabeth was off work, but on her first day back, she came into my daughter's NICU room to say hi and check on the two of us.
Elizabeth was my nurse when I had my C-Section and for the days following while I recovered. She helped me feel at ease the entire morning leading up to the procedure, and then she was so amazing as I recovered. Since my daughter went to the NICU, Elizabeth would always meet me wherever I was. Whether it was for vitals, routine meds, or just making sure that I remembered to eat that day, she would check my room first, and then would come to my daughter's NICU room so she could do whatever was needed.

There was one night when I was ready to quit pumping/breastfeeding, and I was struggling emotionally, and Elizabeth talked through all my concerns with me, and provided me with ideas for solutions if that was something I wanted. I was discharged while Elizabeth was off work, but on her first day back, she came into my daughter's NICU room to say hi and check on the two of us. I mentioned that I was worried about taking the bandage off my incision site, and asked if she would do it for me. Elizabeth took care of it and even looked at my incision to let me know how it was healing and how best to take care of it. She continued to check in with me anytime she saw me throughout the rest of my daughter's stay.
