Lauren is an amazing patient advocate and shows empathy towards our pediatric patients and their families. She is particularly knowledgeable in resources for our patients with autism spectrum disorders and willingly shares those, along with her experiences in this area. Her compassion for our patients is evident in every phone conversation she has in our triage area, as well as when she is connecting with families physically in our clinic. She is kind and patient with families, providing compassionate and empathetic care. She is always professional and can be counted on to always provide a positive attitude in the clinic.

She is one of the most empathetic nurses I have ever worked with. Her ability to talk with parents on the phone, give practical advice, and determine what would best serve the patient is apparent in every conversation I listen to her have with families. She is a great advocate for patients, working with providers to fit them into clinic schedules if they really need to be seen that day. She has personally provided me with so much knowledge on resources in the area for individuals with autism. Drawing from her experience with family members having this diagnosis, she will help connect families with therapy options, but also serves as an empathetic and listening ear to families who struggle with this diagnosis.

Lauren is one of the hardest-working staff members in this clinic. When not engaged in patient care, she keeps track of clinic supplies and orders needed supplies for the clinic, ensuring our clinic standards for organization and cleanliness are met for surveyors, and provides support to providers. She truly is deserving of this award as she is truly an asset to our pediatrics clinic.
