Allison is the newest addition to the Pedi Rapid team, and she has brought such positive energy, amazing pediatric emergency room skills, and a calming spirit. Allison is absolutely the nurse you want to call if something is going on with your patient. She arrives at the bedside and immediately calms the nerves of everyone involved: patients, staff, and parents.

Our hospital is lucky to have someone like Allison in this role. With her here, I know my patients and staff will be okay. She never judges “dumb questions” and is always willing to teach. I appreciate her so much.

One specific example is when our pediatric surgery unit had a tracheostomy patient, post op, exhibiting some new respiratory symptoms. Nursing staff was stumped; RT CBS was just assisting a mom who was a tad overbearing. Allison was nice enough to come to the bedside to assess. She immediately went into action. Mom felt more reassured, and Allison was able to help our patient. She is also one of only two nurses’ moms who will let her stick an IV!
