I would like to nominate LaShonda Murray for a DAISY Award and Nurse of the Month if I’m able to. I’ve been in and out of the hospital for the past couple of years, battling my chronic health conditions. During this hospital stay, it has taken a toll on me physically and mentally. LaShonda came into my room with the biggest smile and the most welcoming personality that I’ve ever encountered. She was attentive, informative, caring, and you can easily tell she truly loves what she does! For the first time, I felt seen, valued, and respected. She truly went above and beyond making sure I was taken care of, and I am very grateful! Please help me give her the recognition her precious soul deserves, and please present her with a DAISY Award. LaShonda, I know I said it several times during the six nights you cared for me, but I thank you; you truly blessed me in ways words don’t do enough justice!
