I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis and had to have a series of 6 bladder catheterizations to put medicine in my bladder. I was terrified. Laura walked me through the process and explained everything before starting. She calmed my nerves with her demeanor and explanation of the process. It’s very embarrassing and intrusive to have someone’s face just inches from your private parts performing a procedure, not once, but six times! Each time I saw Laura, she did everything she could to make me comfortable. She was professional, kind, and added a bit of humor to help me relax. She performed the procedures quickly, offered suggestions to help with my condition, and genuinely took an interest in my well-being. The level of care, concern, and her demeanor far surpass any nursing care I’ve ever received. She is a true gem.

Laura made an extremely uncomfortable series of procedures and an embarrassing position to be in much more tolerable. Instead of dreading these procedures and being scared and embarrassed, I was able to relax and get the treatment I needed, knowing that she would handle everything with dignity, professionalism, and a little bit of humor.
