I'd like to nominate Rocio for a DAISY Award because she represents the true heart of nursing. Rocio cares for her patients with genuine compassion, love, and respect, always treating them as if they were her own family. Her kindness is not something she turns on and off; it is present in every interaction, every shift, and every patient she encounters.

Rocio treats every patient equally, no matter their background or situation. She takes the time to listen, comfort, and reassure them, especially during the most vulnerable moments. Many patients may forget procedures or diagnoses, but they will never forget how Rocio made them feel: safe, valued, and cared for.

Beyond her dedication to patients, Rocio is an incredible support to her fellow nurses. She freely shares her knowledge, offers guidance without judgment, and she steps in during difficult times without being asked. When coworkers are overwhelmed or struggling.
