Sherry is the kind of nurse who changes your entire experience for the better.
I would like to nominate Nurse Sherry for the DAISY Award. She cared for my baby and me during the postpartum period, and she was an absolute light. I have never experienced such compassionate, thoughtful care—especially after delivering a baby.
Sherry was incredibly attentive to both my newborn and me, making sure we had everything we needed while still giving us the time and space to rest and recover. She struck the perfect balance of being present, supportive, and respectful of our bonding time. Her gentle reassurance and calm presence made me feel safe, supported, and truly cared for.
I shared with her how important it was for me to get home to my other children as soon as possible, and she worked tirelessly to make that happen. She did everything she could to ensure our discharge was completed right at 24 hours—something that rarely ever happens. She rounded on us consistently and always took the time to explain when she would be back and exactly what she would be coming to do. That clarity, communication, and presence made me feel so safe and cared for. Her dedication, efficiency, and advocacy meant the world to us, and I will never forget it.
My husband still talks about Sherry to this day. She is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and confident in everything she does. The little things—things she does so naturally and with such ease—set her apart in a way no one else can replicate. Her kindness and expertise left a lasting impression on our family.
Sherry is the kind of nurse who changes your entire experience for the better. She is compassionate, capable, and genuinely committed to her patients. We are so grateful for her.
