Josephine Culang took care of my brother with such compassion. Little did we know it would be the beginning of his last few weeks with us. He was admitted, and I went to visit him. He told me how kind Josephine was, how she came into his room and took care of his needs.

She gave him a sponge bath, and he said, Before I knew it, she had cleaned the entire room! He was so impressed by how hard she worked and how she was saving money to bring her husband and small children to the US from the Philippines. He was incredibly grateful for her selfless service. After a couple of days in the ICU, he was moved to PCU, only to be moved back to ICU. But his spirits were lifted when he realized that Josephine was working the evening shift and would be his nurse again.

It was short-lived because he was then transported to Fairfield Mercy for care there. Josephine hugged us both, and that meant the world. My brother sadly passed away within two weeks. I just wanted to express how caring she was and to say thank you.
