I want to give a big shout-out and recognition to your day nurse, Kayla. She answered the phone when I called the day after discharge. She went way above and beyond to help me. I was discharged with a Foley and could not open the clamp to empty it. I scanned the patient education barcode and went to the Bard website for patient education. Both videos said to open the clamp, but didn't show how. Kayla first tried talking me through it, but I couldn't open the clamp. She took a video of opening a clamp and emailed it to me. I successfully emptied the bag! If there is any special recognition or award, I would be honored to nominate Kayla.
