When I brought my husband to the ER for stroke-like symptoms, I was beyond frustrated, sad, and nervous, as any family member would be. As we were able to see him, and so much medical “lingo” was being talked about, Michelle knew I, being the patient’s wife, was still scared and frazzled.

Michelle kindly explained every step that was being taken, how often it would be done, and why it was being done. Michelle had great compassion and concern for my husband as well as our family during this time, including sympathy and kindness when we needed it the most. She was very attentive to my husband’s needs and encouraged him to keep up the good work, and always showed respect and love for her patients.

I’m so thankful that HSHS has nurses like Michelle who make our experience better than expected in a time like this.
