During confusion and fear, Rosemary offered clarity, comfort, and unwavering support.
A patient’s daughter recently called to share her heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care her mother received six months ago. She specifically wanted to recognize Rosemary Suarstzman for the incredible support she provided during a deeply stressful time.

The daughter explained that her mother had been in hospice care for seven months and had been bedbound for two years. When her mother was brought to the emergency department after attempting to get out of bed and suffering fractures in both legs, the situation was overwhelming and emotional.

She shared that Rosemary was a steady and compassionate presence throughout her mother’s admission. During confusion and fear, Rosemary offered clarity, comfort, and unwavering support. The daughter emphasized how much it meant to have someone like Rosemary by her side, someone who truly cared and helped her navigate such a difficult moment.

"When I was by my mother’s side, my emotions were overwhelming. I didn’t know what was happening or what to do. I had so many questions, and Rosemary was there for me. She kept me informed, answered every question with patience, and explained what was happening and what to expect regarding my mother’s care. I was deeply grateful for her presence and the way she truly listened to me during such a difficult time.

As I was preparing to leave for the night, I felt anxious. But Rosemary reassured me not to worry, she said that they would take good care of my mother. My mother’s condition was changing, and during the times I couldn’t be at her bedside, Rosemary would call me with updates. If I called her, she always answered and kept me informed.

During this visit, my mother was taken off hospice care. I didn’t understand why and felt confused and scared. Rosemary took the time to explain the situation clearly and compassionately. She assured me that once my mother was ready for discharge, she would help me get her back to hospice and make sure she received the care she needed.

Rosemary guided me through the process of completing the necessary paperwork and even helped contact the facility where my mother had been a resident for seven years. Initially, the facility said they wouldn’t accept her back, but Rosemary stepped in, advocated for us, and made sure my mother was welcomed back.

I was incredibly grateful for her support. Rosemary also arranged transportation and ensured everything was in place for my mother’s arrival. Thanks to her, my mom was able to spend her final six days in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by love and receiving the care she deserved."
