I am writing to nominate an extraordinary Emergency Room nurse who made a lasting impact on our family during a very frightening experience. My daughter was brought into the ER with an alarmingly high blood sugar level.

As a parent, I was scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what the next few hours would hold. From the moment our nurse entered the room, we felt an immediate sense of calm. Not only did Kendall act swiftly and professionally to begin treating my daughter, but she also took the time to explain every step of the process in a way my daughter could understand.
