Recently, my son was admitted to Barnes West. When we arrived on the 4th floor, Grace was immediately in the room to check on him. We were nervous about his condition, and Grace’s positive attitude and sense of humor put us at ease.

She always explained everything that was going to happen and kept us informed all throughout her shift. It was a comfort to have the same nurse each day during his stay. Grace anticipated my son’s needs, reminders to drink more water so blood draws were easier, or a reminder to order dinner before the kitchen closed each night.

When I would go home for a few hours, I knew Grace would be checking on my son. This made me feel so much better, even though he is an adult at 21! Her care and compassion were amazing!
